2:14:10 and the Power of Mindset | Jonny Phillips at Grandma's Marathon by Dan Fitzgerald
Jonny Phillips is Heartbreak's highest performing male marathoner. He was 40th at the USATF Olympic Trials of 2020, 18th in Chicago 2021, the top Bostonian in Boston 2019, and just ran 2:14:10 at Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, MN on June 21st, 2022. The performance was a massive breakthrough for Jonny who has been on a tear now for a while. Jonny is a truly a "gamer" - he always rises to meet the day even if he's not the guy with the fastest PR. Now, he's got a truly elite PR too. One thing I noticed in the interview is his intentional & relaxed mindset. There's a lot an aspiring elite or any marathoner can take away from this conversation.
