We have partnered with Boston Public Library to offer guided routes kicking off and concluding at the Roxbury Branch Library.
Book it Around Boston will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Meet at 9:30 am, Welcome Speech & Introductions begin at 10:00 am, and run time will be directly after.
Depending on how far you would like to travel, you can choose from one of four routes starting and ending at the Roxbury Branch. These include:
- Route 1: 4 miles – Roxbury >> Egleston >> Connolly >> Roxbury
- Route 2: 6 miles – Roxbury >> Egleston >> Jamaica Plain >>Connolly >> Parker Hill >> Roxbury
- Route 3: 9.5 miles – Roxbury >> Grove Hall >> Codman Square >> Jamaica Plain >> Connolly >> Parker Hill >> Roxbury
- Route 4: Bike Route, 15 miles – Roxbury >> Adams Street >> Lower Mills >> Mattapan >> Roslindale >> Jamaica Plain >> Connolly >> Parker Hill >> Roxbury
All participants will receive a Boston Public Library Passport: a booklet outlining routes to walk, run, or bike between each of the BPL’s 26 locations, encouraging residents to get out and explore the city.
For each branch participants visit, they will receive a branch stamp in their BPL Passport.
BPL Passport booklets will be handed out at this year’s Book it Around Boston start/finish location at the Roxbury Branch, but can also be used anytime.
Passports and additional swag will be available for patrons to pick up on a first-come-first-serve basis.
