Chicago 2026 is here! Stay tuned for highlights from all the weekend events at Heartbreak powered by Nike Running.
Chicago Dawg Chase
We knew Chicago had that DAWG in ’em, and you all proved it. Nike and Heartbreak took over the city for a scavenger hunt packed with miles, challenges, and plenty of DAWG energy.

Locals Night
Chicago, this one's for you! We closed out the Chicago 2026 training season with our final taper workout. Locals Night was half easy miles, half party, giving everyone a chance to get the body ready for race day and celebrate the journey with the people who trained together all summer. Shoutout to everyone who showed up and made the last signature speed of the Chicago 26 block a PARTY!

Heartbreak Honors
Heartbreak Honors shined a light on some of the crew’s brightest community members — the ones who inspire everyone around them, show up for their people, and do it all for the love of the game. Hosted by Heartbreak co-founder Dan Fitzgerald, the night brought the community together for an awards ceremony and celebration with special guests Makayla Paige and Klaudia Kazimerska.

Shakeout Run
The Heartbreak Shakeout powered by Nike Running brought the crew together for the big show before the big show. Starting at the iconic Salt Shed and finishing at Heartbreak Chicago, the crew got in some final miles and got ready to take on Sunday.
Hosted by Nike Pro Athletes Klaudia Kazimierska, Makayla Paige, Parker Wolfe, and Ethan Strande, alongside Heartbreak co founder and Nike Coach Dan Fitzgerald and Heartbreak Coach and Olympian Marielle Hall, it was the perfect way to get the crew race ready. Sunday, we’re ready.

Coach Bennett Book Signing
Coach Bennett made his way back to Heartbreak Chicago for a night celebrating his new book, This Is About Running. This Is Not About Running. From stories to signings, the night was a reminder that running has always been about more than just the miles.

Cheer Zone
Chicago showed up today. At mile 20.5, the Heartbreak crew brought the noise and cheered our people through one of the toughest parts of the race. Seeing our friends push through the pain, dig deep, and keep moving never gets old. You don’t fake mile 20.5. You earn it. And we were there to remind you that you never run alone.

After Party
We closed out an unforgettable Chicago Marathon weekend the Heartbreak way. Glascott’s was the spot for good people, big energy, and a proper celebration of everyone who put it all on the line.
