Your schedule is an outline not a prison. You’re responsible for creating the effort, but life is allowed to get in the way. That doesn’t make you undisciplined; it makes you human.
 
When I trained as a pro, the holidays were always tough for me. I used to create environments where I couldn’t stay present until I got my workout in. If something interrupted it, I felt frustrated or distracted for the rest of the day. I’ve learned since then that flexibility isn’t failure, it’s strategy.

Here are a few reminders for the holiday season:
-Plan the must-dos and leave space for the surprises. Treat your workouts like important commitments, but don’t guilt yourself if they need adjusting.
-Use If–Then statements to stay proactive instead of reactive.
-Focus on effort, not perfection. Even a short workout or quick walk counts.
-Be present. Holidays are about connection, joy, and rest. Show up for yourself and your people.
-Remember: Your workouts are important, but they do not define the joy or meaning of your holidays. Flexible, consistent effort over time is what rewires your body and mind.
 
You’re building a lifestyle, not just checking boxes. Give yourself permission to adapt and enjoy the season fully.
