This week, we celebrate our team. It's Heartbreaker week!
Groundbreakers, pace-makers, shot-takers, Heartbreakers. Simply put, we are people who run.
There's a reason that sentence leads with "people" (humanity) before sport. It's not about numbers: pace, miles, or times. We are beginners, Olympic trialists, international competitors, first time 5K runners, best-time everything runners. We are committed to getting better, committed to the success of each other, & set on having a damn good time doing it. Heartbreakers celebrate diversity of pace and person. We believe in the connective power of running to breakdown socioeconomic, ethnic, and religious barriers.
Here's what's happening:
- Big discount on shopping this week for Heartbreakers! Heartbreaker team members get a bonus discount shopping in-store and online now through Sunday, 2/20. (The team always gets 10% off. HBers, make sure you're logged into your account so the discount appears.)
- Get a Heartbreak Hoodie! New members who join* this week get a Nike Heartbreaker Hoodie! Current members who get a friend to join* this week earn a hoodie too! HBers, have your new member friend shoot a note to info@heartbreak.run to claim yours. (*Only "Annual HBer Membership" qualifies for the hoodie/singlet. Hoodies are limited & available while supplies last.)
- Heartbreaker Flyers applications open! For the first time ever, we're opening up solicitation of our Heartbreaker Flyers (our national sub-elite team). We have athletes in Boston, LA, Chicago, Salt Lake, Scottsdale, & more. Women on the team include top athletes like Rosie Edwards who was 3rd in the UK Marathon trials in 2:31 to Jonny Phillips who was 18th in Chicago 2021. - Shamrock 8K & Mile entry raffles! All team members are eligible to enter a raffle for free entry in to these world class Chicago road races (4 bibs available for each race).
- Beers @ the Shop! Just like old times! After Thursday's Signature Speed session, we'll serve refreshments at our Newton & Chicago shops. Open to all. Please register ahead of time.
