When Nike LA came to us with an opportunity to support any school ahead of the 2025 cross-country season, we immediately thought of Pali High.
At the start of the year, fires forced the team out of their homes, their school, and into an old Sears department store just a few miles from our Santa Monica shop.
Every Wednesday, this crew shows up at 6 a.m. for track workouts at Santa Monica College. They shower at the YMCA, grab breakfast on the go, and rush off to class all before most of the city even wakes up.
Showing resilience when everything feels uncertain isn’t easy, but time and again, Pali High has found a way to keep going.
With the help of our friends at Nike Running, we welcomed two incredible Nike pros: Olympian Abdihamid Nur and US Champion in the 3000M steeplechase Lexy Halladay-Lowery to our store in Santa Monica to surprise the Pali High squad.
We handed out fresh Vomero 18s from the van and gifted the team brand-new racing kits to remind them that all their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.
We’re so proud to have the chance to support Pali ahead of the Mt. SAC XC Invite, one of the biggest and most historic high school meets in the nation.
We’ll see you out on the hills, you know those are kind of our thing.
