This Labor Day weekend, More Than A Mile heads to Martha’s Vineyard for a community run in celebration of the race they're building on the island. For generations, Inkwell Beach has been a gathering place and sanctuary for Black families on the island. The Inkwell Mile takes that history and puts it into motion, inviting runners, walkers, visitors, and the local community to experience the island together, one mile at a time.
