Our Heartbreaker Flyer program supports like-minded high performance athletes all over the country. One such athlete, a new addition this year, is Jordan Macintosh out of the Pacific Northwest. Jordan ran at University of Minnesota and Portland State University. He boasts PRs of 1:51 (800m), 3:45 (1500m), 4:03 (mile), 8:02 (3K) and 13:56 (5k).
He opened up his 2022 outdoor season at the Oregon State High Performance meet with a blazing 5K just short of his PR in 13:58.52 on April 29th. We caught up with him to hear his thoughts on the race and what's next.
DF: How'd it stack up with what you're looking for this season?
JM: It was slower than what I was hoping to run but in the conditions I was just trying to race and go for win!
DF: What's next on your race schedule?
JM: My next race is going to be my debut in the 3k steeplechase on May 14th at the Portland Distance Carnival .
DF: What's your favorite sandwich?
JM: My favorite sandwich is probably a BLT with avocado.
DF: What's your favorite track spike?
JM: By far my favorite track spike is the Nike Dragonfly
DF: What's your favorite track workout?
JM: I’d say my favorite track workout would have to be 300 repeats at 1500m race pace, usually about 3 sets of 3.
DF: What's your "favorite follow" (Instagram handle)?
JM: My “favorite follow” is probably @goodgood. They’re a golf account. Aside from running, I also love to golf or just watch the “Good Good” golf content on their YouTube channel.
