This past Sunday, Heartbreakers gathered with runners from Pioneers Run Crew and unmd to support a new voice, Amani Pettiford, and her Run As One For Ahmaud. In her words: "We have to run together, we’ve been marching for a long time. I’m tired of marching, we are going to run to the finish. I want answers now." [via CBS Local] We ran an easy out and back together down Blue Hill Ave. Amani shared some words of unity, ran the longest run of her life, and closed with a thoughtful prayer. There were a lot of friendly faces as the 3 crews overlap quite a bit at Boston running events and even share some members. Another noteworthy fact about Amani and the event is that before Sunday she hadn't run with any of these groups which makes two things very clear: the good will runs deep here and you're going to see more runs like this.
