The Trials of Miles Kansas City Qualifier presented by Heartbreak featured a world leading & Mexican national record setting 800m by Tonatiu Lopez, gutsy high school miles, and USATF Olympic Trials standards achieved. This event was the 2nd in a series of high performance track meets designed for athletes fighting their way toward representing their country at the Olympic Games in Tokyo this summer.
It was a windy afternoon and the weather turned cool in the evening making it a challenging day to run super fast. Still, many did. You can watch the action from both the undercard and the main event here.
The next Trials of Miles high performance meet will be held in New York City on May 21st. More details here.
