One of the fastest long-distance track spikes to ever cross the finish line turns up the tempo even more. The Dragonfly 2’s comfortable fit and propulsive feel are built to go the distance in races and key workouts. Updated spikes, full-length ZoomX foam and a lighter, more responsive plate are ready for speed and stamina. This special design is inspired by The Armory in New York, where track-and-field athletes of all abilities are welcome to step into the blocks.

Behind the Design
We took inspiration from The Armory's original oval surface color and painted it along the upper. The green accents take their cues from The Armory’s infield in the middle of the track. The blue hits originate from the athlete warm-up area. The red along the sockliners and outsole stems from The Armory’s logo. And the crisscrossed print speaks to the facility’s iconic ceiling.
Sharp Stability
A slightly wider midfoot and forefoot improve the feeling of stability on straightaways and especially around the turns.
Light and Fast
The new full-length plate material is lighter and more responsive than the previous version while adding durability. The curved design gives you a propulsive feel.
Breathable Comfort
Engineered mesh on the upper enhances breathability and comfort. Its conforming fit gives you a disappearing sensation that is built to go the distance.
Energy Return for Each Stride
Full-length ZoomX foam, Nike’s lightest and most resilient foam, unlocks deliver even better energy storage and return.

Fit for the world's fastest, the Maxfly 2 is back in the starting blocks. Designed for the 100-meter to 400-meters (hurdle events too), it combines an ultra-aggressive feel with the responsiveness of an Air Zoom unit to propel the speediest sprinters on the planet. We updated the base and upper from the previous iteration to help optimize the Air Zoom unit's speed. You also get improved stability and control on both straightaways and turns as you hightail it to the tape.

Built for Speed
Lighter and more responsive than the previous version, the carbon fiber Flyplate's shape and stiffness give you a propulsive feel. It helps keep you on your toes and minimize deceleration.
Zoom, Zoom
The forefoot Air Zoom unit has two chambers to give you propulsion and stability from takeoff to the tape.
Stable for Straightaways
We removed the middle spike from the original Maxfly and elevated the platform on the big toe side. This helps the spikes feel more stable on straightaways and around the turn.
Secure Fit
Nike Flyweave construction on the upper provides a secure and conforming fit for various foot shapes.

The full-length carbon fiber Flyplate is tuned to match the base of the support system. Its shape and stiffness give a propulsive feel to help keep you on your toes and minimize deceleration. The new plate material is lighter and more responsive than the previous version. It also improves the durability of the outer traction plate.

The forefoot Air Zoom unit has two chambers to give you propulsion and stability from takeoff to the tape.
Ultralightweight Upper
Atomknit, an updated version of Flyknit, has a lightweight, contoured fit and enhanced breathability. It works with a new knit structure and midfoot containment cables to give you an ultralightweight upper.
Stable for Straightaways
Focused on helping keep you stable, the supportive base creates a wider flat area compared to the original Victory on the bottom of the plate. We removed two spikes seen on the original in favor of a four-spike design. And we elevated the big-toe side platform to help the spikes feel more stable on the straightaways and around the turns.
