The Vaporfly 4 is a lean, mean, mile-eating machine. We trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper from the Vaporfly 3 without sacrificing performance. The result is a lighter, more propulsive all-around racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon.

Performance Approved
The handwritten number on the midsole salutes the wear-testers who put these shoes through our rigorous test process to give you the best performance possible.
Full Speed
A full-length carbon fiber Flyplate provides a propulsive, racing feel. A higher angle of the plate and lower heel-to-toe drop compared to the Vaporfly 3 give you an improved propulsive feel.
More Energy Return
Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got faster. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before thanks to a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel.
Less Weight
Engineered mesh offers improved comfort and a disappearing feel on your foot. It helps reduce the weight of the shoe while supplying a more consistent fit. And we reduced the size of the heel and tongue, saving even more weight.
Light Feel
See how the midsole bulges out by the heel? We designed it that way to help reduce weight on the inside of the foot to give you a more stable ride. We reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3. You still get the same reliability, just without any unnecessary thickness.
What's New About the Vaporfly 4?
We took a race-car approach when updating the Vaporfly 4, making many minor tweaks so you can pursue major gains. We trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper without sacrificing performance.

The Victory 2 is tested and validated by the best middle-distance runners sprinting the planet. Engineered to the exact specifications of championship athletes, its Air Zoom unit has two chambers to give you propulsion and stability from takeoff to the tape. It combines with a carbon fiber Flyplate and a lightweight, responsive ZoomX foam midsole to give you every speed component you need to smash records.

Innovation Is Our Inspiration
Bill Bowerman, Nike’s original innovator, put our blueprint in place. He inspired the Blueprint collection design details, like the speckled Swoosh logo and sketches of feet on the insole. They remind us of where we’ve been as we keep moving forward.
Stable for Straightaways
Focused on helping keep you stable, the supportive base creates a wider flat area compared to the original Victory on the bottom of the plate. We removed two spikes seen on the original in favor of a four-spike design. And we elevated the big-toe side platform to help the spikes feel more stable on the straightaways and especially around the turns.
Built for Speed
The full-length carbon fiber Flyplate is tuned to match the base of the support system. Its shape and stiffness give a propulsive feel to help keep you on your toes and minimize deceleration. The new plate material is lighter than the previous version.
Ultralightweight Upper
Atomknit, an updated version of Flyknit, has a lightweight, contoured fit and enhanced breathability. It works with a new knit structure and midfoot containment cables to give you an ultralightweight upper.
