Feel the Breeze
Specifically selected Flyknit yarns and engineered zones in the forefoot bring a new level of performance to the Vaporfly. Ample breathability around the toes combined with soft, yet supportive yarns deliver our most customized upper for the Vaporfly. The result is a softer, cooler design that conforms to your foot.
What's New About the Vaporfly 3?
An updated thin outsole rubber uses less material without sacrificing durability, which helps reduce outsole weight and thickness. This allows for extra millimeters of ZoomX foam underfoot and a smoother transition through your stride.
Light padding on the tongue helps reduce lace pressure at the top of your foot.
New Waffle outsole pattern with perforations saves weight and delivers multi-surface traction in various weather conditions.
Offset heel seam helps reduce friction in the heel area.

The Vaporfly 4 is a lean, mean, mile-eating machine. We trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper from the Vaporfly 3 without sacrificing performance. The result is a lighter, more propulsive all-around racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon.

Performance Approved
The handwritten number on the midsole salutes the wear-testers who put these shoes through our rigorous test process to give you the best performance possible.
Full Speed
A full-length carbon fiber Flyplate provides a propulsive, racing feel. A higher angle of the plate and lower heel-to-toe drop compared to the Vaporfly 3 give you an improved propulsive feel.
More Energy Return
Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got faster. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before thanks to a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel.
Less Weight
Engineered mesh offers improved comfort and a disappearing feel on your foot. It helps reduce the weight of the shoe while supplying a more consistent fit. And we reduced the size of the heel and tongue, saving even more weight.
Light Feel
See how the midsole bulges out by the heel? We designed it that way to help reduce weight on the inside of the foot to give you a more stable ride. We reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3. You still get the same reliability, just without any unnecessary thickness.
What's New About the Vaporfly 4?
We took a race-car approach when updating the Vaporfly 4, making many minor tweaks so you can pursue major gains. We trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper without sacrificing performance.

We trimmed weight all over from the previous iteration without sacrificing performance. And the carbon fiber Flyplate and ultra-responsive ZoomX foam midsole combine to give you race-day speed. Behind the Design
Jakob's favorite colors and repeating lines nod to his mental approach. His tattoos and gold rings inspired details that’ll shine when he kicks it into high gear. Nordic stars on insoles nod to his family.
