The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 drops soon. Select teams who registered for the Magic Horse Marathon Relay got early access and the reports are overwhelmingly positive. Coach Dan wore it to officiate the Heartbreaker women's 3 Lap Throwdown time trial then took it for a spin. See the action shots from the tempo loop at Harvard below and here's a preview of what you can expect:
Back is the all React foam mid-sole with it's trusty and durable ride with the added pop of a large (10mm) Zoom Air unit in the forefoot. The upper is more accommodating thanks in part to the fact that it's split (the 37 was a one piece upper). The tongue is also separated, softer, and lightly stuffed in the 38 which is a big improvement in comfort. Engineered mesh gives it a tech look but also makes it breathable in some places and more durable in others.
As always, the Pegasus is the work horse of the Nike running line. Fits many runners, rides reliably, and is can be counted on for a big training block.
Coming soon to Heartbreak.
