The Windy City Invitational catapulted from a Wisconsin home meet to a national sensation with the announcement that Cole Hocker & Cooper Teare would chase down the American record in the mile. While the attempt fell short, the action was red hot out of this brand new Chicago track & field mecca. World standards and collegiate NCAA marks popped off across the sprints and distance events.
