This past weekend DePaul Track & Field hosted various collegiate teams around the midwest at the Blue Demon Holiday Invite. The early-bird meet took place in Chicago’s newest world-class facility, the Track & Field Center at Gately Park. The 139,000-square foot facility features a hydraulically banked 200-meter track, a 4,000-square foot curtained warm-up area, eight sprint lanes, two long and triple jump runways and pits, pole-vault runway and pads, a high jump area, discus area, and seating capacity of 3,500.
Gately will be home to dozens of collegiate and high-school meets this upcoming indoor season and will be the host of the Big East Conference Championship and Missouri Valley Conference Championship this upcoming February.
