The 2:23 Foundation formed in memory of Ahmaud Arbery. Mr. Arbery was killed on Feb. 23, 2020. The foundation was created to prepare young people for social justice advocacy. The #FinishTheRun Global Virtual Run is a continuation of their run on the 23rd of each month to remember Maud.

"To highlight the importance of creating a safe space for people to run without it feeling like it’s a crime. We want to #FinishTheRun that Ahmaud Arbery couldn’t finish that day. Participate by registering online, following our social media posts throughout the day, and tuning into IG Lives with runners/influencers throughout the day. Date: February 23, 2021 - March 3, 2021"
