Fidelis Teixeira | Mostly Heartbroken, Still Going

Fidelis Teixeira | Mostly Heartbroken, Still Going

We asked the community members featured in our Mostly Heartbroken, Still Going campaign to share a little bit about what the themes mean to them.

Fidelis is the Mr. Goodvibes of the Boston running scene. He's a former educator and creative who turned his talents to Heartbreak where he's a part of our leadership team as both a creator & our Boston GM based in the South end. He designed the graffiti graphic in last spring's collection & shoots most of our parties & sessions. He's run the marathon but he's not all about running. He's a combat sports athlete and fan too. (His discipline is Muay Thai.) Most notably, he's a just a good guy with a warm heart who puts the people around him at ease and welcomes all into his conversation and space. We caught up with him after our shoot in Orlando. Shop the collection here.

Heartbreak: What comes to mind for you when you hear: Mostly Heartbroken, Still Going?
Fidelis Teixeira: Any challenge, in sports or in life. Challenges come in all forms, and you're not gonna succeed every time but to continue is what is important.
Being heartbroken is a part of the journey but how you keep going is what makes the journey fun! I think I just said the same thing twice lmao
HB: What was something that didn't work out for you and how did you bounce back?
FT: A lot of things lol: My first job, girlfriends, first marathon. To bounce back I mostly take time for myself to think, and create a strategy!
HB: What keeps you running?
FT: Running has always been about a competition with myself, also giving myself the space and freedom to be vulnerable as an athlete. Running slowly became a way for me to get away from the everyday struggle and grind, for that reason running will always have a special place in my heart!
HB: In one sentence please answer the question: what is love?
FT: Love is Happiness, Joy, and being comfortable with yourself enough to share that with others.
