The Harpoon 5 Miler is an epic race and party. It's about a month after the Boston Marathon (in a normal year) but in contrast to the marathon, it doesn't require 6 months of training and it's not put on by 100 year old athletic association. No, this is a brewery's race for the people and it ends with a raucous dance party on site. It's a favorite of the Heartbreakers and one of the annual high marks on the race calendar for all Bostonians.
The Harpoon 5 Miler is also fundraiser for ALS supporting the Angel Fund for ALS Research. Given the fact that the race has gone virtual due to COVID-19, it's important to remember that even though we can't hit the party like we did, we can still support the race we love and its worthy cause.
Let's show our support to Boston's local employee owned brewery and the Angel Fund by racing 5 Miles in our own neighborhoods this Sunday. Register here! *BONUS - race registrants get access to the team exclusive Heartbreaker Virtual Training Center through race day!
