Ahead of the Boston Marathon, we created a photo project designed to capture the mindset of the racers the day before: the calm confidence, introspection, & steadiness. We set up a studio at Heartbreak Newton and invited athletes to show up. Here are the shots*. We called it Head Check.
Participants will pair this shot with a post-race version we're calling Heart Check, a full color and full emotion version that captures the joy, the relief, and the exaltation on display after finishing. With the medal fresh and shiny, athletes are invited to Concepts (18 Newbury St) to participate. Register for that shoot here.
