Heartbreak Shakeout with Keira D'Amato

The day before the Boston Marathon, Heartbreak and Nike Running played host to the global running community and a special guest - American marathon record holder Keira D'Amato. Coach Dan kicked things off with a little hype celebrating the international, national, and local guests. Keira ran Boston back in 2018, the rainiest and nastiest year, in 2:56:44. She ran her first marathon in 3:49:19 (a failed attempt at a BQ). She ran her most recent marathon in 2:19:12 (Houston, 2022) making her the fastest American of all-time at the distance. Keira shared her wisdom for "embracing the suck" of the marathon with 200 athletes gathered on Tremont St. that morning. The crew then ventured out for an easy 2.5 miler with a stop at Boston Common for a little stretching and a "BOSTON MARATHON" cheer to raise the energy for the next day.
