Heartbreak and Nike Running teamed up to provide an intimate and fun opportunity for athletes to explore the most notorious and well-known part of the Boston Marathon - Heartbreak Hill. Coach Dan treated small groups of runners to a live telling of the origin story while athletes road from Heartbreak Newton to the top of Heartbreak Hill. Like any good tour, it included a photobooth and souvenir t-shirt all free and thanks to our partnership with Nike Running. American record holder in the marathon, Keira D'Amato and her husband Anthony tagged along for a few tours providing elite level insight and also this tidbit - Keira didn't qualify for Boston her first try. Much has changed since then, obviously, she;s now the fastest American of all-time having run 2:19:12 at Houston in January of 2022. Anthony decided to amp up the competitive spirit by racing the van up the hill on foot (while Anthony is deisel, our gasoline powered van took him out ;).
