There's something special about an empty space, especially one that's usually overflowing with life. City living can be chaotic; we grow comfortable sharing tiny quarters, our conversations overlapping with those of nearby strangers. Noise becomes our constant companion. But the slowing that comes when you catch the city in a sleepy moment can bring into focus the next moment, which would otherwise have been a blur.
