Friday night Heartbreak hosted the unsanctioned race series Take The Bridge in Chicago. Heartbreaker team captain Kam Casey appeared with fiery red hair that screamed "win-it-all or go down in flames". Not surprisingly (if you know Kam), he defended his TTB title and won the men's division chased by Paul Sraders in 3rd. The race was broken into 3 separate 10-minute segments one of which was hammering up & down a short & steep hill as many times as possible for points. Paul managed to run 50(!) of the hills to clinch a hard-earned 3rd place. For a brand with "hill" in the name, he certainly did us proud. Our friends from the Windrunners dominated the women's race but Emily Trittchuh managed a 5th place finish + a 5K PR among the craziness. GUMBO, 3RUN2, Windrunners, November Project, of course, our Heartbreakers raced & partied at Heartbreak like the good old days.
